Snow White loves snow, of course, we don’t doubt that. Today she is out in her garden. It is a cold day and everything is white; it was snowing a lot last night. Snow White couldn’t wait to wake up and pass through her garden. Even though everything looks frozen as if there is no life there, she knows it is not for real. There are birds, there are little invisible creatures, like dwarfs (yes, yes, those dwarfs that helped her when her horrible stepmother wanted to kill her, alas!), there are fairies. So, she walks by all of her plants in the garden, spreading her hands and fingers already very reddish because of the cold, trying to touch twigs, branches, old leaves. She is also shaking branches making the snow to fall to the ground and making snowballs and throwing them in the air. What a great play! Ouch! She touches the thorn too. The split on her finger is pretty wide. Her dense, dark-red blood is starting to drop to the ground. Little drops are spreading through the snow. Now it looks like flowers are growing through the snow! Gosh, magic! But what the Snow White didn’t see a moment ago in her garden is that there are first flowers already! White, gentle, small flowers on one of her fruit shrubs have shown their shy and gentle cheeks, but because of the snow, nobody has seen them until now. Snow White is watching her blood dripping on those gentle flowers and they are giving up of their invisible, white colour, turning red. Oh, what a scene! The whole shrub is with the red flowers now and the Snow White is tongue-tied.
Plum blossoms were once white and invisible, no doubt about that. This is a story about how they turn red. You don’t need to believe my story, though, but remember there is so much beauty and magic in your garden. The spring is coming, power is waiting to come out and surprise you. Are you ready to see it?
