I am the most beautiful and fragrant flower in my garden, still, I am not satisfied. My dream is to fly with the birds.
The cherry-red cardinals and indigo bluebirds travel to faraway places and I dream of floating on the easy breeze to the garden next door with them.
The tall, wooden fence blocks my view of the garden next door, but it must be the most beautiful garden on earth.
The birds, butterflies, and bees talk about the stunning colors of the flowers, the nectar-like fragrance of the roses, and the many bird and butterfly feeders scattered throughout that garden.
The bees and birds sing beautiful songs from the other side of the fence. Sounds of happiness fill the air.
If only the breeze would lift my petals from my stem, pick me up, and send me floating to the top of the wooden fence, so I may see this wonder for myself. My dreams would be fulfilled.
Wait, a breeze. My petals are fluttering in the wind, I feel the gentle release of my body from my stem. Here I go!
