Malaysian by birth, but these days home is in Barcelona, Spain. First love has always been nature, was the kinda kid who would pick up strays and try to communicate with my pets. Began volunteering with environmental NGOs at 16 and have since gone into academia on that same theme. Have written poetry and stories, mostly to share in petit comite, except for my one attempt at a blog (https://areem-12july2008.blogspot.com), and now thinking it’s time to share with a broader audience. As for the garden, it’s orchids that grow well with me, perhaps cause we’re both tropical.
