Born and raised in Calgary, Julie Meier now lives on a farm where she can appreciate a view of the Rocky Mountains while writing from her kitchen table. She loves the challenge of crafting her stories into perfect little packages, and her writing has been published in several on-line journals. She was recently shortlisted for the 2020 Edinburgh International Flash Fiction Award.
When she is not writing, Julie can be found cuddling lambs (who have a sneaky way of working themselves into her stories) in the barn or playing ‘80s rock music for her bees.
She also blogs about farm life and the fascinating world of nature on her Facebook page: Little Flock on the Prairie, and is working at compiling her stories into a book.
