The granddaughter, daughter, and sister of fruit growers, I was raised to appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature. My parents both immigrated to the United States from the Netherlands after World War II. While my dad instilled a love of nature, my mom was always writing. They both passed away years ago and my writing is a way to carry on their legacies. Writing about nature and the snapshot of the simple moments in a day are what inspire me.
